What time of year has the best bargains?

Speaking of sweet spots, there are several "slow seasons" where you can get fantastic rates on accommodation and theme park promotions. The best times to come are the last three weeks in September, all of October, and the beginning of December. You can also enjoy the cool weather and the smaller crowds during the second & third week in January.

Summer afternoon thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms tend to be very localized producing much rain for short periods in some areas while even short distances away there is no rain at all. Keep light weight rain gear handy during late summer afternoons. Better still go back to your villa to rest, relax and revive to prepare for the evening's fun. Most kids (and the rest of us!) do much better with a mid afternoon break

Summer visits

After a day in the sun the evenings can feel cooler than the temperatures would suggest. Keep lightweight but warm cover ups handy.

Winter visits

We normally have wonderful weather but an occasional cold snap lasting a day or two is not unknown. Evenings often chilly (light jacket or thin sweater weather).
