As I have written elsewhere, most people in this part of Florida are from someplace else.  Our family is no exception. We hail from a mid-atlantic state.  We had winters.  I mean we had it with winters.  Which is why we are here!

Many years have passed and I still don't miss them. 

But this year my oldest son decided he wanted to experience snow again and traveled to Washington DC, [look, I'm related to him, OK? - I can't explain him...].  Where he was promptly snowed in.  With wind chills of -9F.  It was 80F here.  I'm guessing he won't be repeating that indulgence any time soon...

Nowadays, living here, winters are my favorite time of year - I'll bet they will be for you too.

Now we have got the weather out of the way [basically, perfect], let's continue by looking at the best times to visit. 

What time to come?

For 2008, the lowest rates are from January 4th, 2008 to March 14th, 2008 which is the beginning of the Easter holidays.

The low rates resume on March 23rd and last until June 28th, 2008.

2008 is different to other years because spring break coincides with Easter. 

This means a long run of low rates from January 4th to June 28th with only one interruption of holiday rates due to Easter.
